Description
Following the Battle of Lake Erie, the First Nations refugees retreated in advance of the American invasion of the British forts and settlements.
Notes
Reflections on the water, like canoes, are most fond of sheltered conditions or an absence of wind. This painting was commissioned by activists who were fighting against high-rise development along Lake St. Clair.
