Description
Watercolour painting with a view of the Royal Mail Steam Packet, thought to be the "Kingston". The painting shows figures at the bow and stern of the ship giving great perspective to the size of the ship. There are also a few small sailboats nearby adding to the life of the painting. It can be seen that there was little wind, as the flag flies limp from the mast. [ed. note: the details in this image match those in the Van Cleve image of the first CITY OF TORONTO
