Work on the battleship Nebraska, at Seattle, Wash., is now largely confined to the finishing up of the interior of the officers' rooms, 'tiling and bath rooms, and_ preparing for the big guns and other equipments which are soon to arrive from the east. The delay in the arrival of her equipment may delay the trial trip of the Nebraska some tinte later than July, which was the date originally set, Moran Bros. Co., the contractors, announce that their firm have been greatly handicapped by the lack of material which has prevented the heavy work of setting the big guns from being carried out. There are three 12-in. guns already on hand, and one more en route. None of the 6-in. guns have reached Moran's yard yet. However, the ordnance department at Washington as- sures the contractors that all the armament will be forwarded within the next thirty days. Congressman J. Adam Bede, called upon Chief Engineer Alexander Mackenzie in relation to Duluth harbor improve- ment last. week.
