OCEAN PIERS AT SEATTLE. The Oregon & Washington railroad. is beginning the construction of two ocean piers at the foot -of Weller street, Seattle. The plans call for two docks, one of which will be 1,055 ft. long from the property line of Railroad avenue to the harbor line; 126 ft. 10 in. in width, with a shed 90 ft. wide. The first 125 ft. will be bulkhead, from which point the dock proper starts. The southern dock, which is to 'be built first, will have a total length of 1,135 ft. the two piers being separated by a'slip 154 ft. in width. Ten offices are planned for each pier; three conveyors and two slips on pier No. 1 and two conveyors and two slips on pier No. 2. About 2,000 creosoted piles will be used and the estimated cost is about $400,000.
