June, 1910 PRESENTED Owners To Harvey D. GouLper. Lovine Cup, BY VESSEL 75 cents has been the concern of the interests since and one of the the the shippers to restore it was Harvey vessel leaders in movement to persuade D. Goulder, general counsel for the Lake Carriers' Association. It is known that the rate' was. re- stored to a 75-cent basis for 1910 by an advance of 5 cents in the freight rate over that paid last year and a reduction of 5 cents in the unloading charge. In the ore trade the vessel always pays the unloading charge so that the two com- bined made an advance of 10 cents. At <a, given by Capt. John Mitchell at the Union Club, Cleveland, on May 19, the independent vessel own- ers of the great lakes presented Mr. Goulder with a loving cup as a token of their appreciation for his efforts. President Livingstone, of the Lake Car- tiers' Association, made the presentation speech and addresses were also made by Capt. John Mitchell, Capt. Alfred Mit- chell, Capt. J. J. H. Brown, John Craig, A. T. Kinney, Capt. Charles L. Hutchin- son, J. H. Speddy, C. O. Jenkins, W. A. Hawgood, Capt. Arthur Hawgood, S. P. Shane and J. S. Ashley. The cup, which is of Tiffany work- manship, bears the following inscription: "Presented to our friend, Harvey D.
