The crew of 14 on the Rover lost everything but the clothes they were wearing and had a narrow escape from death. The accident occurred near the point where the tow boats Tom Dodsworth and Boaz lost 16 barges of coal on June 7. ITEMS OF INTEREST. 'The naval harbor of Dover, which has been in the course of construc- tion for eleven years and has cost about $20,000,000, was formally opened on Oct. 15 by the Prince of Wales.
