Port Huron, Michigan Successors to The Reid Wrecking Company The Ship Yard and Dry Dock formerly owned and operated by the Reid Wrecking Company at Port Huron, Michigan, has been pur- chased by The Foundation Company, of New York, N. Y. The Foundation Company will enlarge the Dry Dock and make extensive improvements to the plant so as to dock the largest lake boats. It will at once build a pier one hundred feet long from the shore into the St. Clair River with a bulkhead along the shore line for a winter harbor which will accommodate ten to twelve of the largest boats. Mr. Joseph W. Reid, formerly of the Reid Wrecking Company, will have charge of the Dry Dock and Repair Work for the Foundation Company. The Reid Wrecking Company solicits for the new Company the patronage of their previous clients. | The Foundation Company wishes to assure the old patrons, and new clients that it is fully equipped to take care of any repair work that comes to it, and that it is building and equipping a new yard for the pur- pose of contracting for and building new boats from the smallest to the largest capacity for lake trade. . The new Company solicits orders for small steel or wooden lighters, barges and tugs. The Foundation Company has under course of construction in its various yards 98 ships for the United States and French Governments. The organization is large and capable of handling all classes of work and through its large connections it has unlimited resources for material that enable it to do quick construction.
