The total water ballast capacity of the vessel, including fore and after peaks, is 341 tons, and the oil fuel capacity is 227 tons. The capacity of the holds is 79,400 cubic feet in grain and 74,200 cubic feet in bales. The crew is accommodated in the poop and separate mess-rooms are pro- vided for petty officers, sailors and motormen. Changing room and wash rooms according to the Australian naviga- tion act are arranged in a separate deckhouse on the poop. The hospital with separate bath and toilet is ar- ranged in the forecastle. The sani- tary arrangements for officers and crew throughout the vessel are in ac- cordance with latest practice and the service along the coast of Australia. An ice box is arranged in the fore- castle.
