40 MARINE REVIEW July, 1926 oo BECLAWAT (BECKETT, LAYCOCK & WATKINSON) UNITYPE DECK HOUSE WINDOWS ON THE MALOLO An improved deckhouse window has_ been developed by our designers, which meets the archi- tect’s specifications of weather tightness, the build- er’s desire for compactness and the owner’s need for satisfactory service. This latest product of the Beclawat factory is known as the ‘‘Unitype’’ window, as it contains all the necessary features of a window in one combined unit. The brass weathering frame and steel support- ing frame are fixed to the steel plate of the deck- house. The weathering of the window by means of an easy throw control handle provides against leakage under all conditions. The glass is raised and lowered by a crank which interlocks with the weathering lever. Windows for enclosing the promenade deck of this great vessel were supplied by us.
