Gulfpride WO 4-cylinder, 2-cycle, single- acting Bethlehem Diesel Engines, each developing 2100 shaft horse- power at 120 revolutions per minute, drive the Gulf Refining Company’s new motor tanker GULFPRIDE, just delivered by the Federal Ship- building and Dry Dock Company. The M. S. Gulfpride is one of the largest tankers afloat and is the largest seagoing motorship ever built in this country. She is of 17,400 tons dead weight capacity, is 543 feet 1114 inches in length overall and has a cargo capacity of approximately 6,200,000 gallons of gasoline, ex- clusive of fuel and lubricating oil.
