On board this vessel, a twin screw motor tanker, electricity is used for all auxiliary purposes with the exception of heating. Current for the operation of all the electrical apparatus is provided by three Electro-Dynamic generators, driven by three type 3MI-18 Nelseco Diesel engines. The Nelseco Diesels are power units of the latest mechanical injection type and develop 150 B.H. P. at 260 R.P. M. Two of the Diesel-generator sets also drive air compressors, each having a capacity of 150 cu. ft. of free air per minute.
