International Cement Corporation launches new Nelseco-powered tug NEW ninety-foot steel tug, “Lone Star”, has just been put in service by the International Cement Corpora- tion. Designed by Cox and Stevens and built at the Marvel yard, Newburgh, N. Y., it is powered with a 500 B.H.P., type 6 MIR-22, mechanical injection Nelseco Diesel engine. This engine is similar in design to the 24 Nelseco Diesels recently installed in automobile ferries at San Francisco, owned and operated by the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. It is a 6 cylinder, 4 cycle, direct revers- ible engine of the latest mechanical in- jection type and is capable of developing 500B.H.P. at 230revolutions per minute. Nelseco engineers will gladly tell you about other interesting installations and will furnish astonishing figures on the low cost of operating Nelseco Diesel Engines. Write for Pamphlet MR.
