These combined facilities are now being operated as a single unit, designated as ‘“‘Boston Plant’’; the individual properties are known as Simpson Works, and Atlantic Works. With the bringing together of these properties and their operation under one management, Bethlehem offers to ship owners and operators unexcelled repair facilities in the Port of Boston. Repairs will be car- ried out with greater efficiency. More important, repair jobs of all classes will be completed more swiftly and the laying-up time minimized, with con- sequent saving to the owner.
