m ib kb Fin & wu ae, YO UN © ALFITE ends the menace of cargo hold fires No menace to profitable ship op- eration is greater than fire in the cargo hold. You can’t get at it with ordinary extinguishing methods. You have to fight it unseen. The ALFITE System kills these hidden fires quickly and surely, and without damage to the cargo. ALFITE Gas is stored in cylinders which are connected to each hold by fixed piping. When fire breaks out the hold is instantly flooded with this fire-killing gas, penetrat- ing every crack and corner. It puts the fire out—and keeps it out. The ALFITE System is simplified protection. There are only a few working parts. A specially de- signed valve seals positively against leakage, yet assures com- plete and rapid gas discharge from the cylinder. The ALFITE System can be in- stalled at moderate cost. If you are interested in securing full de- tails, call the nearest branch office or write us.
