Other types built from 35 to 1500 H.P. Have you seen the new model Cooper-Bessemer marine diesel engines? These engines with their important improvements, are win- ning the favor of naval architects, marine engineers, owners and operators. They combine the superior design and workmanship of former models, with many changes which give simpler and better operation. LEADING IMPROVEMENTS Completely Self-Lubricated — No hand oiling is necessary on any part of the engine. Important Parts Duplicated — Possibility of shut-down is practically eliminated by providing duplicate built-in pumps. Large Diameter Crankshaft — Crankshafts stand up under severe operation. Dangerous criticals within operating range eliminated. Special Material Valves — Sturdy, special material valves give long, trouble-free service. Only Semi-Steel Castings — Greater strength and less weight are the results of using semi-steel for major castings. Improved Piston Operation — Full floating wrist pins decrease bearing pressure by increasing bearing area on both wrist and crank pins. These and Other Improvements Give Simpler and Better Operation.
