She is now in use by the Grand Trunk system for ferrying cars across Lake Michigan. Of orthodox design throughout, the new vessel is practically a duplicate of two recently con- structed carferries for the same company and is heavily constructed for severe winter operating conditions. Construction began early in 1930 and was carried out under the supervision of Capt. C. E. McLaren, marine superintendent in charge of carferry operation. \ 5 cera io. ~ ail hom ; t oa = . ait eee a Tee tans Z Reh igen es Stee aa, BES Eeett i eb ee ot Genera SaecLls ieee FJ OUR Iap RNa ae PABA END OURO UNOUBOGNAANUEAUOGRNaNaeanNaNcAt MARINE REVIEw—April, 1931
