This oil painting of the steamer Edwin F. Holmes, 1904, is unsigned but attributed to Antonio Jacobson. It shows a port side view of the black freighter with white forecastle and cabins, a black stack, and two masts. The lack of stack markings suggests that is running for Bransford Transit Co., under W.A. Hawgood management. The painting was donated by the Great Lakes Maritime Institute.
