- Description
- This acrylic painting of the "Windsor Train Barge - Loaded" shows a view of a railroad car ferry crossing the Detroit River. The pilot house on the viewer's right and smoke is coming out of both smokestacks. Built at Toledo in 1930 for this service, the image shows the ferry in Wabash Railroad livery. In 1969, the ship was reduced to a car float, powered by a tug. The painting was donated by the Great Lakes Maritime Institute.
