Description
This painting is of the steamer Cliffs Victory. The ship is painted in Cleveland Cliff's livery of black and soft green. Originally built in Portland, Oregon, the steamer was a post-WWII conversion. Besides its profile, the vessel’s trip to the lakes via the Mississippi River and Chicago, where Great Lakes modifications were made, made the vessel unique. The painting was donated by the artist, a Detroit native.
