Typesetting across bottom of litho reads "The Detroit & Cleveland Steam Navigation Company"

- Gift made in memory of donor's father, Robert H. Beauchamp, who was with the Interlake SS Co. of Cleveland, OH for 35 years until his retirement at the age of 65. He began sailing as a boy of 14 when steamers were still using wood for fuel. The Beauchamps are a pioneer family of Marine City, Mich., having settled there when the town was called
