This watercolor; "A Perspective of the Detroit Boat Club" is by Alpheus Williams Chittenden, architect. It is unsigned and is in a narrow plain gold frame.
Notes
The previous club house burned in 1901. Chittenden was hired as architect for the new club house, built in 1902. It is supposed that this illustration was part of his proposal for the new building.
