Sheboygan:
Built 1869, at Manitowoc, Wis.
Hull, of wood built by G. S. Rand. Length of keel 208 feet; width of hull 32 feet; over guards 54 feet; depth of hold 12 feet.
Engine, vertical beam; diameter of cylinder 50 inches, by 12 feet in length.
Two boilers, by Buffalo Engine Works, 1857 (re-built 1891) each 8 feet diameter by 21 feet in length.
Wheels, 27 feet in diameter; 24 buckets each wheel. Length of buckets 7 feet; width 16 to 26 inches; dip 32 inches.
Gross Tonnage 623.90 Net tonnage 461.36
The Sheboygan arrived in Milwaukee, Wis. on May 5, 1869, and commenced running on the route between Chicago and point on the west shore of Lake Michigan in the Goodrich Line, the same month. The engine of this steamer was that formerly used in the lake steamboats City of Cleveland and Garden City.
