Soo City:

Built 1888, at West Bay City, Mich.

Wooden Hull, constructed by F. W. Wheeler & Co. Length 171 feet, beam 33 feet 6 inches, and depth of hold 12 feet.

One compound engine, by Samuel F. Hodge & Co., Detroit. Diameter of cylinders 22 and 42 inches by 36 inches stroke.

One boiler, 15 feet in length by 120 inches in diameter

Gross Tonnage 670.79 Net Tonnage 438.36

This handsome propeller was built for the Cheboygan and River Saint Marie trade, upon which route she plied for several seasons. Commodious cabins finely furnished, and all modern conveniences made her a very popular boat. Used during 1893 in carrying excursionists between Michigan City and Chicago.
