Michilimackinac 6 July 1839

I, C. W. Cringle master of the schooner Jena do certify that Garret Stewart is a seaman and has paid Hospital money, and on the first of July was taken sick with a billious fever and the Physician thought it proper that he should be attended to with out delay.
