- This volume consists of log entries recording shipwrecks and other marine casualties. Entries include time and place of the occurrence, name, number and description of the vessel, port of registry, names and residences of the owner and master, value of the vessel and its cargo, insurance, numbers of passengers and crew, names of persons who were lost, the kinds and value of lost cargo, damage to the vessel, and a summary of the cause and nature of the casualty.
